hello_world
Like everyone else, I’ve found myself increasingly distracted by short-form dopamine activities. A friend suggested that writing down my thoughts might be a good way to replace things like spending hours on X for no good reason. A few months ago, I started journaling for the first time, and have been doing it consistently every week since. This has been incredibly helpful for organizing my thoughts and feeling more grounded.
I realized that journaling is a lot like what Dumbledore did with his Pensieve, that stone basin thing he used to store his thoughts. In this age of overwhelming information, keeping your thoughts sorted and organized is essential for maintaining a high signal-to-noise ratio. For me, journaling accomplishes exactly that.
“I sometimes find, and I am sure you know the feeling, that I simply have too many thoughts and memories crammed into my mind. At these times, I use the Pensieve”
Dr. Dumbledore
I’ve been talking about these types of things with a few friends, which often leads to long yet enjoyable conversations. I thought it would be fun to share my thoughts with wider public as well. For these blog posts, I’m going to minimize the use of LLMs except for grammar checks, since I feel like human written text is becoming rare. This will also help me practice my storytelling, so your feedback and engagement are greatly appreciated!
I’m going to be covering topics like self-discovery, robotics and AI, and other random ideas that might come to mind.
Talk to y’all soon!
